Updated voice quality for Wade C., Ava M., Kai M.

We're excited to announce that we've made significant improvements to three existing voices available in our API, offering you even better audio quality for your projects. These improvements are available to you today, but you’ll need to take action.

In order to continue using these voices, you will need to update the speaker_ID by April 1, 2024.

What speaker_IDs are impacted?

• speaker_id 7: 'Wade C. (Narration)' → New speaker_id: 30
• speaker_id 12: 'Ava M. (Narration)' → New speaker_id: 31
• speaker_id 17: 'Kai M. (Narration)' → New speaker_id: 32

Why Update Your Speaker ID?
The updated voices in our API are tied to updated speaker_id’s. By updating your speaker_id, you'll gain access to the improved voice quality and ensure that your projects continue to benefit from the latest enhancements to our model on an ongoing basis. We will no longer support IDs 7, 12, and 17 after April 1, 2024.

Action Required: Update Your Speaker ID
To update your speaker_id, please follow the instructions below:

1. Locate any code that includes the impacted speaker_id’s
2. Replace those IDs with the new ones

Please make sure to update these speaker_id’s before April 1st, 2024, as we will be deprecating the old speaker_id’s after this date.
